Technical counter measure sweeps

Electronic bug sweeps for everyday people, their homes, small businesses and large corporations.

We have been undertaking sweeps of offices and government buildings since 1998, I would also say in 2003/2004 the personal market grew and we found more of the public finding themselves in need for bug sweeps of homes or vehicles. I would surmise this is due to the cheap, but effective audio bugs shipped in from China.

The GSM bug, very popular, can cost as around £40 and operate for several days. We have located around 30ish, from memory, of these devices from people’s homes this year. During 2011 in one property our surveillance scan found 8 audio bugs. All GSM and all were transmitting.

Although GSM and stand alone recording audio bugs are most common. We do have the capability to scan for and locate high grade Audio bugs which are designed to evade detection. Once in a while we come across these high grade audio bug devices.

During 2009, our agents uncovered a signal burst device encased in a solid alloy frame in corporate offices in local surrey. Signal burst audio bugs transmit for mili-seconds to evade detection. They often run on very low power and, to conserve power, switch on and off at night so thay can operate for weeks if not months. Although this type of high grade device is not common, we would surmise the novice or an ill equipped bug sweep would miss this

Over the years we have upgraded our technology to encompass non-linear junction detectors, infra-red scanners and GSM location devices. But it does cost a pretty penny! Our experts utilise equipment, which is insured for over £100K. None of this would be any use without the expertise to use it properly. Again, all our TCSM experts are fully trained in using the kit and searching for suspect devices.
