Brief history
Mark started in the investigations industry in 1990. Starting out as a low level assistant he quickly worked his way through the ranks to become one of the leading tracing specialists in the greater London area. During the early to mid-1990’s Mark was headhunted several times and undertook investigatory roles within numerous different corporations’ based in the UK and other European locations.
In 1998 Mark decided to offer his services directly and acquired small offices in Tolworth, Surrey under the name of MR investigations and taking on several members of staff to expand the tracing and intelligence / information gathering for other Private investigation firms or other legal corporations still anxious to acquire accurate and in-depth information from Mark.
The business grew, and more staff was now needed to accommodate the need for our investigation and surviellance reports and analysis returns. So, in 2001 the team acquired larger offices in Thames Ditton. Again, the demand for reliable investigatory skills and information grew and continued to expand acquiring secondary offices in Thames Ditton to deal solely with existing long term clientele. During this time the main office found a greater public interest. Mark decided a new PUBLIC image was needed and a glossy new face for the company came into being, and, in 2004, BASE Detective Agency was born. BASE was always the main office dealing with long term clientele and Detective Agency continued to offer a wider range of capabilities direct to the public and new corporate or legal firms.
As public demand grew the next step was to acquire retail premises, offering the public even easier access and stronger public presence.
In 2008 BASE Detective Agency found a retail premises with rear offices in the heart of nearby Surbiton Surrey. Mark stated, “Surbiton, surrey is a well-known affluent area where local residence and business thrive” adding “We are now proud to hold the expertise in most areas of investigation and offer these services directly to the public.”
